A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the same domain name. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all mailbox effortlessly in case you have a shared website hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet remarkably intuitive, and it will permit you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and to the right of each of them you will see a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking it twice will disable it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have a different one with this option activated or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be enabled without any difficulty if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in your account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a small button conveniently located right next to each of them. With only one click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the contextual menu that will come into view. If any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will notify you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
